Treasurer's Message
The Government is investing in the elements that will help Victoria to meet the challenges ahead: an educated and skilled workforce, healthier people, first class infrastructure and a competitive business environment. The 2006-07 Budget invests to record levels in schools, skills and infrastructure, makes Victoria the best place in Australia to do business and continues the Government's strong commitment to Victorian families and children.
The 2006-07 Budget continues to deliver the economic growth, financial stability and responsible investment Victoria needs to maintain its reputation as one of the most liveable places in the world and meet the challenges ahead.
